Chimeasure ("we," "us," or "the Service") is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use our cloud-based chimney measurement application.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, company name, and password. This information is required to create and manage your account.
Measurement Data: Job addresses, customer names, job numbers, measurement values, diagrams, notes, and exported reports that you create within the Service.
Usage Data: We may collect anonymous information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, and device information, to improve the product.
Payment Information: Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or bank details — Stripe handles all payment data in accordance with PCI-DSS standards.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Process your subscription and payments
- Send important account notifications (billing, security, feature updates)
- Respond to support requests
- Sync your data across devices via our cloud infrastructure

4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely on Supabase (powered by PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies ensuring each company can only access its own data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS encryption. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction of your data.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or measurement data to third parties. We may share data only in the following circumstances:
- With your consent: When you connect a third-party integration (such as Jobber, Workiz, or Housecall Pro), we share relevant job data with that platform as authorized by you.
- Service providers: We use Supabase for data hosting, Cloudflare for web delivery, and Stripe for payment processing. These providers process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental regulation.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data remains available for 30 days to allow export. After 30 days, we may delete your data from our servers. Anonymized, aggregated data (which cannot identify you) may be retained indefinitely for product improvement purposes.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data at any time through the Service
- Export your measurement data and job records
- Correct inaccurate information in your account
- Delete your account and associated data by contacting support
- Disconnect third-party integrations at any time
8. Offline Data
The Service includes offline functionality. Data created while offline is stored locally on your device and automatically synced to our cloud servers when connectivity is restored. We do not access data stored locally on your device beyond the sync process.
9. Cookies
We use minimal cookies and local storage for authentication and session management only. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics that profile your behavior.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is designed for professional use by chimney service companies and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
